On this winery tour of the Penedés region, we'll depart from Barcelona to visit one of the main wine regions of Catalonia, calling all wine lovers!
Penedès Wineries Day Trip
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Estación del Norte and head to the historic region of Penedés, a wine region with a famous 'denominación de origen', which is a special award given for high-quality products in Spain.
The first stop will be at the Can Ràfols dels Caus winery. The most interesting thing about this place is that it's a cellar built right inside a natural cave. In this cave, we'll enjoy a tasting of three wines paired with local cheese and Catalan sausages.
Next, we'll go to the prestigious Llopart winery. We'll enjoy beautiful views of Montserrat from here while we learn how the sparkling wine called Corpinnat is made.
At the end of the visit through the vineyards and the winery facilities, we'll taste three sparkling wines as well as some Iberian ham and traditional sausages from Catalonia.
After this tasting, we'll return to the meeting point in Barcelona, where we'll arrive 6 hours after pickup.
