Casa de les Punxes Ticket
On Avenida Diagonal, in the heart of Barcelona, you'll find one of the city's most important modernist works, the Casa de les Punxes. This brick castle decorated with colourful mosaics is the work of the Catalan artist Josep Puig i Cadafalch, who inaugurated the building in 1905 for the three daughters of a Catalan textile entrepreneur.
As you make your way around Casa de les Punxes, an English audio guide will reveal the building's history as well as the legend of Sant Jordi, patron saint of Catalonia, reflected on the walls and rooms of the castle. You can also visit the interior rooms, climb the six towers and discover where the sundial and the angel that decorate the building are hidden.
After walking around this building, declared a National Historic Monument because of its historical and architectural value, you can also go up to the roof, one of the most unknown parts of the Casa de les Punxes, where you'll get an excellent view of the Eixample district!
Casa de les Punxes is open every day from 10 am to 7 pm. Final entry is at 6 pm.
