By booking a ticket to the Antoni Tàpies Foundation, you'll get to visit one of Barcelona's most interesting modern and contemporary art museums. You'll also discover the paintings and sculptures created by this artist throughout the 20th century. 

Tàpies was influenced early on by artists such as Paul Klee and Joan Miró. He soon found himself drawn to the expressiveness of materials, an interest that led to his intensely textured canvases which held great communicative power. One example of this expressiveness through art would be a diversified plastic creation that is admired all over the world. 

Your ticket to the foundation will give you access to its permanent collection, as well as temporary exhibitions of different artists.

The museum building itself is also a work of art. This industrial-style building was created at the end of the 19th century by the Catalan architect Lluís Domenech i Montaner, a pioneer of modernist architecture. 

Opening hours

The Antoni Tàpies Foundation has the following opening hours:

• Thursday, Friday and Saturday: From 10 am to 7 pm.
• Sunday: From 10 am to 3 pm.
